News Outlets Are Prewriting Stories About Officials Getting Fired to Keep Up with the Trump Era

The resignations, firings, and ousters of senior government officials have always been big news. In 1991, two weeks after announcing that he’d stay on through the end of President George H. W. Bush’s term, the chief of staff John Sununu resigned with a handwritten letter that ended, “It really has been great!!!” (The President’s son, George W. Bush, reportedly dealt Sununu his death blow by the White House horseshoe pit.) But the drama, as well as the frequency, of such

Obama endorses dozens of Dems, snubs Ocasio-Cortez

Former President Barack Obama on Wednesday endorsed dozens of Democrats in races across the country, flexing his political muscle in the midterms and vowing to hit the stump for some of them before November.  Notably, the former president did not endorse liberal darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in her New York House race. The ‘democratic socialist’ has teamed up on the campaign trail with Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., but her high profile after defeating House Democratic Caucus Chairman Joe Crowley in the primary has

Non-American citizens are increasingly found on voter rolls thanks to covert registration methods, with nothing actually stopping them from casting a ballot in an election. Elizaveta Shuvalova, a Russian citizen who became a U.S. citizen only last year, was registered as an eligible voter in 2012 and added to the San Francisco voter rolls, the Washington Times reported. She was perplexed to find herself in the voter rolls, saying she wasn’t an American citizen and didn’t even register to vote.

A later trial, to be held in Washington, D.C., will focus on money laundering and Manafort’s work as an unregistered agent of the government of Ukraine. Neither trial, on the surface, has much to do with the Trump campaign. Many of the charges against Manafort cover crimes committed years before he worked for Trump’s campaign. However,

Trump calls for voter ID, teases Iran talks at Florida rally boosting DeSantis, Scott

President Trump gave hearty endorsements to Florida Gov. Rick Scott and U.S. Rep.
